This online version of Yahtzee or Yatzy was made by me, Hassan Safieddine.

I am programmer, web application architect and entrepreneur. I use my free time to try new techniques and technologies.

Yahtzee is a dice game made by Milton Bradley (now owned by Hasbro), which was first marketed as "Yatzie" by National Association Service of Toledo, Ohio, in the early 1940s. Yatzie was included in a game set called "LUCK - 15 Grand Dice Games". It was marketed under the name of Yahtzee by game entrepreneur Edwin S. Lowe in 1956. The game is a development of earlier dice games such as Poker Dice, Yacht and Generala. It is also similar to Yatzy, which is popular in Scandinavia. - Wikipedia -

While making this version of the game, I kept in mind the human factor, therefore this application will not provide hints regarding the strategy or play style.

The User Interface in this game is made using HTML, CSS and Javascript with the help of Bootstrap, jQuery and a couple of plug-ins used for animations.

The game uses the localStorage and Cookies to save data relative to this service. By using this website you accept and allow the use of cookies and localStorage.

The website backend does not keep data in persisted storage as none is needed for Single and Community modes. Every match session expires after a certain period of time (between 1 and 24 hours after inactivity).
However, for the coming advanced features (not yet implemented), session data will be stored during the feature's life cycle only.
